Boss Guide
Every boss in Vagante has a pattern. Learn it, exploit it, and move on. Here’s how to beat each one.
Forest Boss: The Treant
HP: Medium Difficulty: Easy
The Treant is your first real challenge. It attacks by swinging its branches and summoning root minions.
Strategy
- Stay at mid-range. Close enough to hit, far enough to dodge the branch sweep.
- Kill root minions immediately — they immobilize you.
- When the Treant glows green, it’s about to do a ground slam. Jump to avoid the shockwave.
Cave Boss: The Golem
HP: High Difficulty: Medium
The Golem is slow but hits like a truck. Its main attacks are a charge and a boulder throw.
Strategy
- Roll through its charge, not away from it.
- When it throws boulders, use the debris as cover from its follow-up attack.
- Hit it during the recovery after its charge — that’s your damage window.
Catacombs Boss: The Lich
HP: Medium Difficulty: Hard
The Lich teleports, summons skeletons, and fires homing magic missiles. This is where the game gets serious.
Strategy
- Keep moving. Standing still = death.
- Kill skeletons on sight. They buff the Lich if left alive.
- The Lich teleports in a pattern. Predict where it’ll appear and pre-position your attacks.
- Fire resistance items are extremely valuable here.
Final Boss: The Dragon
HP: Very High Difficulty: Very Hard
The Dragon has multiple phases and attacks that cover the entire screen. Come prepared with full health and your best gear.
Strategy
- Phase 1: Fire breath sweeps left to right. Stand under the Dragon’s head to avoid it.
- Phase 2: The Dragon flies and drops fireballs. Stay mobile and attack during landing.
- Phase 3: Enraged. Everything is faster. Burn it down before it burns you.
